Club News & Announcements-1. Relay for life was held on July 23rd at Tri-C, Sarah Zatik said we made $365 after selling pizza and water. She thanked Todd from GFS for the water donation and Tom from P.Jay’s pizza for the food donation. Sarah also thanked everyone who was there to help, which was a big group, but especially singled out Rex Nash who was there from opening to close! Great job Sarah and Rotarians!!!!

 

              2. Updates on Charlie and Anthony were given. Charlie has been released and will be doing therapy, and Anthony has been sent to a step down facility hopefully going home soon!

 

              3. Vita has reserved seats for a great play at hanna theatre if anyone is interested, here are the details:

         My Mothers Italian, My Fathers Jewish – Holiday Show

                              Friday December 10th, 2010

                              Hanna Theatre 7:30 P.M.

                              16 seats available- $36 a ticket

             4. Ron Bryski told us about Rotary partners with the Indians on August 13th, if interested please contact Steve Zabor at 330-569-5141.

 

            5. Sarah Zatik told us she was taking a six month leave because of accepting a position in the Dayton area, we will miss her, but she promised to see us on weekends.

 

            6. Tom thanked everyone for participating in Anthony’s Army, and many Rotarians showed for the picture, which ended up raising $1930!

Today's Program- District Governor Stu Buchanan was our speaker and first time visitor to the Parma Rotary club. He was impressed with how busy our club was, and Stu showed us a slide presentation “Are you Excited!” Stu showed his excitement for Rotary with a talk about the various scholarships that rotary provides, and he talked about helping Haiti out after the massive earthquake. He was a very interesting speaker, who we hope he returns soon!

 

Split Club- Tom Mastroianni who won $15. Than he picked the jack of hearts, so the big pot goes to $425!
